South Suburban Public Action to Deliver Shelter (SSPADS) is looking for compassionate leaders who want to prevent and end homelessness in the south suburbs of Chicago.

Position: Community Health Worker (Shelter Program)

Reports to: Shelter Case Manager Supervisor

Type: Part-Time, Non-Exempt

Hours: 16-24 hours per week (20 hrs/wk on average)

Compensation: $23 to $26 / hr

Location: Chicago Heights office and a variety of hotel-based shelter sites throughout south suburban Cook County

Position: Emergency Shelter Case Manager

Reports to: Shelter Case Manager Supervisor

Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

Compensation: $23 – $24 an hour

Location: Chicago Heights, IL

Job Summary

The Emergency Shelter Case Manager provides support and assistance to families and individuals experiencing homelessness. The Emergency Shelter Case Manager is responsible for engaging intensively with shelter clients to help connect them to services and to assist them in seeking and obtaining housing.

South Suburban PADS is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization that is working to prevent and end homelessness in the south suburbs of Chicago. Over the past 31 years, the organization has provided shelter and meals to enable over 19,000 people to survive homelessness. In addition, South Suburban PADS provides pathways home and currently helps over 500 people to preserve or access affordable rental homes every year.
