Position: Intake and Data Specialist

Reports to: Housing Manager

Type: Full -Time

Hours: 40 hours per week

Job Summary

The Intake and Data Specialist plays a key role in supporting SSPADS’ mission by serving as one of the first points of contact for individuals and families seeking shelter and services. This position is responsible for conducting thorough client intakes, maintaining accurate and up-to-date data records in the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS). The Intake and Data Specialist is responsible for ensuring that all required data is gathered from new shelter residents. This position also assesses new residents for needed HUB services and provides referrals for community resources.

Job Summary

The coordinator will also perform outreach in the community, assist with documentation for the Coordinated Entry system, and support clients in accessing benefits and essential services.

Position: Client Transportation Specialist

This full-time role within the Housing Program Department focuses on providing comprehensive case management services for participants in the Project WISH Rapid Re-Housing Program. Project WISH offers medium-term rental assistance, supporting single individuals in securing stable housing for up to 24 months, with a best-practice goal of program completion within 12 months. The ideal candidate for this position is highly focused, goal-oriented, and capable of effectively managing a fluctuating caseload based on program needs and participant circumstances.

Job Summary

The Housing Case Manager receives referrals of new program participants from the Coordinated Entry System. Assesses and determines program eligibility for new referrals. Assists program referrals to complete necessary paperwork and move into an apartment. Works with residents to develop appropriate goals and provide on-going assessment and support. Assists the residents to utilize community resources to meet individual needs. Works with the residents to identify their skills and abilities to promote personal growth.

South Suburban PADS is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization that is working to prevent and end homelessness in the south suburbs of Chicago. Since 1990, the organization has provided shelter and meals to enable over 20,000 people to survive homelessness. In addition, South Suburban PADS provides pathways home and currently helps over 500 people to preserve or access affordable rental homes every year.
