    Planned Giving

How would you like to be remembered? Are you leaving a legacy of generosity, kindness, and compassion? Consider reserving a portion of your wealth for South Suburban PADS to prevent and end homelessness in your community.

There are many reasons to give a memorial gift. You may wish to preserve your family name, honor loved ones, or minimize tax burdens. Charitable gift planning with South Suburban PADS allows you to accomplish all of the above while ensuring your family’s name and influence remain within the community for generations to come.

Making a legacy gift doesn’t have to be complex, cost-prohibitive, or time consuming. In fact, there are several ways to leave a legacy gift without changing your will:

  1. Name South Suburban PADS a beneficiary of any percentage of remaining funds in your IRA, 401(k), 403(b), or other retirement plan.
  2. Name South Suburban PADS as a beneficiary of a portion of a life insurance policy.
  3. Instruct your bank to transfer any portion of what remains in your account at the end of your life to South Suburban PADS.
  4. Instruct your brokerage firm to transfer any portion of investments held at the end of your life to South Suburban PADS.
  5. When funeral planning, skip the flowers. Instead of floral arrangements, designate funeral attendees to give a meaningful donation to South Suburban PADS in your memory.

Methods 1 through 4 listed above require a simple change of beneficiary form provided by your financial institution. When South Suburban PADS is named as beneficiary through one of these arrangements, the proceeds are not governed by your will and are not subject to probate.

Please consider making South Suburban PADS a beneficiary after you pass on. Let us know if you have chosen to include us in your plans—we’d love to thank you!
